The easy way to get rid of an old mattress
Mattresses are bulky, floppy and surprisingly hard to move by yourself. They also come with rules: in New York City, for example, mattresses and box springs set out for collection must be fully sealed in a plastic bag, and many buildings won't let them sit in hallways or lobbies.
We handle the whole thing. Our crew brings the bag, wraps the mattress inside your home, carries it out without dragging it through common areas, and loads it straight onto the truck. We take the frame, headboard and box spring in the same trip if you want them gone too.
Mattresses are one of the more recyclable bulky items: the steel springs, foam and wood frames can be separated and reused by mattress recycling facilities. Where a recycler is available for the area, that's where your mattress goes.
- We bring the mattress bag
- Pickup from any room and floor
- Box springs, frames and headboards in the same trip
- Recycling where facilities are available
- Bulk pickups for landlords and hotels
What we pick up
Not on the list? Ask us. If two people can carry it out safely, we can usually take it.
- Mattresses of every size
- Box springs
- Memory foam and hybrid mattresses
- Futon and sofa-bed mattresses
- Crib and toddler mattresses
- Bed frames and headboards
- Adjustable bases
- Mattress toppers and bedding
Mattress removal cost
A mattress and box spring, or a mattress with its bed frame, is usually a 1/6 load ($100). Several mattresses from a move-out or unit turnover are priced by truck space, so the more you clear at once, the lower the cost per piece.

Where it goes
Mattresses go to mattress recyclers when one serves the area, where the springs, foam and wood are separated. Anything a recycler won't take goes to licensed disposal.
Donate
Furniture, appliances and household goods in good shape go to local charities and reuse stores.
Recycle
Metal, cardboard, electronics and appliances go to recycling facilities that handle them properly.
Dispose legally
Only what can't be reused or recycled goes to licensed disposal sites. Never dumped on a curb or lot.
Before we arrive
- Strip the bedding. Sheets and pillows can go too, but separate anything you want to keep.
- Tell us about bed bugs. We still take infested mattresses, sealed and handled separately. Just let us know first.
- Clear a path. A clear hallway means a faster, cheaper pickup.

I called Junk All Mighty in Staten Island for a last-minute garage cleanout, and they showed up the same day. The crew was professional, friendly, and had everything loaded in under an hour. They made the whole process stress-free.
